Tyler Franklin West

Tyler Franklin West was born on January 11th, 1993, to parents Lonny and Gerri (Ross) West in Montevideo, MN. He attended all of grade school in Montevideo and graduated from the Montevideo High School in 2011. Tyler was a proficient tennis player while in school. After high school, Tyler worked a variety of jobs, and spent the greatest amount of time working as a cook at Tillie’s. Tyler loved to cook and was known for adding hot sauce to everything. As an adult, Tyler was baptized on August 28, 2005, in Wisconsin. He loved to fish on the river in Granite and traveled to many states including Michigan, Florida, Georgia, and Colorado. Together with his girlfriend, Tracy Wilson, Tyler created a family with their son, Roman, and their daughter, Terelee. His family said the best thing that ever happened in his life was meeting Tracy and the family life they shared together.

On Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the too-young age of 30, Tyler passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital. He is survived by his girlfriend, Tracy Wilson; son, Roman West; daughter, Terelee Wilson; parents, Lonny and Gerri West of Montevideo; grandparents, Bill West of Clarkfield and Frank (Nancy) Ross of Tomah, WI; sister, Brittney Hoffer; brother, Shawn (Heather) West; nieces and nephews, Iver, Blake, Nelli, and Brody, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Tyler was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lola West, and brother-in-law, Tyler Hoffer. A Celebration of his Life will take place on Friday, April 14th, 2023 at 6 PM at the J.H. Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield with visitation beginning at 5 PM.
