Orville Kenneth Borgendale

Orville Kenneth Borgendale was born February 26, 1929, in Baxter Township, Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota, to Ole and Clara (Haakenson) Borgendale. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd, Minnesota.

Orville graduated from Boyd High School in 1946 and then served in the Air Force.

On July 1, 1954, he married Agnes Nyland at the Hazel Run Lutheran Church, Hazel Run, Minnesota.

He farmed for many years and later worked for Dornberger/Berry Insurance Company. He was a member of the Oien-Horgen American Legion Post #198 of Boyd.

Orville died Monday, December 10, 1990, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital at the age of 61.

Orville is survived by his wife, Agnes of Clarkfield, Minnesota; two sisters, Mrs. Archie (Joyce) Allchin of Granite Falls, Minnesota, and Kathleen Iverson of Clarkfield; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, John at age 3, and Calvin at age 7.
