Kenneth “Ken” Pehrson, Jr. was born on June 8, 1934 in Minneapolis, MN to Ken and Eunice (Slough) Pehrson. He grew up the oldest of six children on a farm outside of Marshall and graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1952 before enlisting in the United States Army where he was stationed overseas in Stuttgart, Germany.
