Janice Orlette (Lindquist) Nelson

Janice Orlette Nelson was born on December 31st, 1938, at the hospital in Montevideo, MN, to Oscar and Bertha “Margaret” (Erickson) Lindquist. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. In her lifetime, Janice was a stay-at-home mother to 8 children. She loved to teach Sunday school and enjoyed attending gatherings with her family and friends.

Janice passed away on Thursday, April 4th, 2024, with family by her side at the Johnson Memorial Care Center in Dawson at the age of 85. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Bertha “Margaret” Lindquist; granddaughter, Stacey Nelson, and siblings, Leona Stefferud, Shirley O’Neil, and Earl Lindquist.

Janice is survived by her children: Brian, Larry (Colleen), Kevin (Gaylnn), Mark, Terry, Randy, Rick, and Melissa; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be on Monday, April 8th, 2024, from 5-7 PM, with a prayer service and time of sharing beginning at 6:30 PM, at the J.H. Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, April 9th, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at New Life Church in Clarkfield, followed by the funeral service at 1:30 PM. Interment to follow in the Clarkfield City Cemetery.
