Esther Margaret Lund

Esther Margaret Lund was born September 19, 1912, in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to parents, John L. and Annie (Weland) Lund. She was baptized November 5, 1912, by Rev. O.T. Storaaslie at Clarkfield Lutheran Church, where she was also confirmed on July 3, 1927, by Rev. O.M.O. Wee. She attended school in Clarkfield.

Esther was a Homemaker and was active in the community, doing volunteer work for the Clarkfield Care Center, and recruiting for the American Red Cross. She also taught Sunday School for a number of years.

Esther died December 5, 1987, at the Montevideo Chippewa County Hospital, Montevideo, Minnesota, at the age of 75 years.

Esther was preceeded in death by her parents and brother Leonard.

Survivors are her brothers, Clarence of Boyd, Minnesota, Einard of Clarkfield, Selmer of Granite Falls, Minnesota; one sister, Clara, Mrs. Theodore Anderson, of Willmar, Minnesota; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 9, 1987, at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church, Clarkfield, Minnesota, with Pastor Gordon Trelstad officiating.

Music was provided by Mrs. Ron Donner, organist and Mrs. Thora Lund, soloist.

Casket Bearers were Truman Anderson, Dale Anhalt, Stanley Homan, Alden Lund, Ellroy Lund and Ronald Lund.

Final Resting Place is the Clarkfield Lutheran Cemetery, Clarkfield, Minnesota.
