Elois Irene (Ernst) Berkvam

Elois Irene Berkvam, age 75, of Granite Falls, Minnesota, passed away at her home on January 30, 1989.

Elois was born on March 15, 1913, to Henry and Pearl (Long) Ernst. The family settled near Clarkfield, Minnesota, after moving from Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended school in Clarkfield.

She was married to Orville (Red) Berkvam on April 13, 1941. They resided on the home place until his death. She has resided in Granite Falls the past 25 years.

Elois did like working with her hands. She enjoyed painting and crocheting and flower gardening until the last few years.

Elois is survived by a brother Glenn Ernst of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and sister Mrs. Doris Meyer and husband Eugene of Hazel Run, Minnesota, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Orville in 1961 and son Irvin in 1956.
