Earlene Rolighed

Earlene Rolighed died Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Clarkfield Care Center at the age of 90.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Clarkfield Lutheran Church.  Rev. Edwin Williamson will officiate and interment will be in the Clarkfield Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held at the church for one hour before the service  Arrangements are with Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield.

Earlene Wilma Rolighed was born at home on October 29, 1929 to Gifford and Elnora (Gebers) Maursetter.  She was baptized and confirmed at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church.  She married Alton Rolighed on December 27, 1949.  To this union five children were born: Thomas, Laurel, Ruth, Carmen, and Jean.  Earlene worked at the ASCS Office from 1947 to 1953.  She was also a bookkeeper at Cennex for 27 years.

Earlene was a kind hearted person who never met a person she didn’t care about.  Her sizable impact was loving those around her.  This was especially evident in her devotion to her two handicapped children.  All of her children saw the God -kind of love in her- a love that has influenced their lives immensely.  She also loved her outings with family and friends and good “hot” coffee.  Earlene openly shared her faith and the importance of having a relationship with the Lord.  She understood the eternal life is our greatest possession.

Earlene is survived by her children: Thomas (Robyn) Rolighed, Clarkfield, Laurel (Ron) Hartfiel,Redwood Falls, Ruth Wilson, Edina, Jean Rolighed, Willmar; nine grandchildren: Pat (Jada) Rolighed, Kristin Rolighed, Patrice (Jesse Berry) Arfsten,  Ahnna (Michael) Schulte, Matthew (Karissa) Wilson, Tera (Michael) Lauer, Brandon (Josh Hoffman) Johnson, Amber (Kyle Jahn) Bakken, Corey (Meagan) Johnson; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Bethal (Delmore) Fenske; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Leo Kuehl and many other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alton; daughter, Carmen; and son-in-law, Gregg Wilson.
