Bertha Froland Lindquist

Bertha Froland Lindquist was born in Vesta, Redwood County, Minnesota, on July 26, 1905 to Bernt and Ronnog (Kallebaken) Froland.

She and her parents and family moved to Alexandria, Minnesota, where she attended school. She then moved to Minneapolis and graduated from North Central Bible School.

Bertha Froland married Gust Lindquist of Clarkfield on November 26, 1940. They resided in Clarkfield until his death in 1987.

She became a resident of the Clarkfield Care Center in November of 1987 and then transferred to the Knute Nelson Memorial Home in Alexandria in January of 1989.

Bertha passed away at the Knute Nelson Memorial home on Friday evening, August 20, 1993 at the age of 88 years.

She is survived by one sister, Clarabelle Davis of Alexandria; nieces: Marjorie Schrupp of Alexandria, Minnesota, Lorayne Rekedal of Willmar, Minnesota, Phyllis Buecksler of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and nephew, Duane Melling of Prior Lake, Minnesota. Bertha is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and two brothers.
