Berdetta Jean Jorgens

Berdetta Jean Jorgens was born in Montevideo, Minnesota, on May 7, 1929, the daughter of Harry and Marvel (Natzel) Gottsch. On September 22, 1929, she was baptized In Montevideo and confirmed May 28, 1944 at Mt. Olive English Lutheran Church In Montevideo. She attended school in Montevideo and graduated May 28, 1948.

On February 12, 1949, she married Ernest J. Jorgens in Montevideo. Berdetta was a homemaker and housewife who was active in the Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd, Minnesota, Sunday School, Choir, Circle, Ladies Aid and Junior Choir.

Berdetta passed away at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospita, Montevideo, Minnesota, on Friday, June 9, 1989, at the age of 60.

Surviving Berdetta are her husband, Ernest of Boyd; two sons, Joey of Harvey, North Dakota, and Jeff of Boyd; daughters-in-law, Linda and Lois; six grandchildren, Jenny, Eric, Jill, Jason, Renae and Brian; and two brothers, William Gottsch of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Dennis Gottsch of Rosemount, Minnesota.

Berdetta was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
