Wilma M. "Wendy" Manning Moseng was born on November 21, 1941, in Wausau, Wisconsin, to parents Daniel and Wilma (Blottert) Manning. She was baptized and confirmed in Wausau and graduated from Wausau High School. Following graduation she attended Nurses Training at Miller Hospital in St. Paul. Following graduation she worked for Dr. Bernstein in St. Paul as an LPN. She then worked at Luther Haven in Montevideo prior to her marriage. Wendy married LeRoy A. Moseng on September 4, 1965. They farmed and raised cattle on their farm their entire married life. They were the parents of a son, Timothy. Wendy was employed at the Clarkfield Care Center for 29 years, retiring in 2007. Wendy loved gardening and had many beautiful flower gardens over the years. She loved working the cattle, shopping, going to household auctions, antiquing and garage sales. Her greatest enjoyment was her grandchildren, Jack and Jenna, and would do anything for them. She was involved with the Baxter WELCA and Homemakers Club in the 1960-70s. She volunteered at the Chippewa County Library and the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital. Wendy passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo following a struggle with cancer. She was 71 years, 8 months and 23 days. She is survived by her husband, LeRoy and her son Tim and Shar, Jack and Jenna Moseng of Maple Grove, Minnesota. She is also survived by her brothers: Perry Manning, Wesley (Judy) Manning and Daniel (Shirley) Manning, brother and sister-in-law Eugene and Bernice Moseng; sisters-in-law: Betty Johnson, Shannon Preckel and Barbara (Tom) Agre; and 12 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her father and mother-in-law, Alfred and Lorraine Moseng; and brother-in-law, Bob Johnson. Blessed be her memory.
