Willie H. Johnson was born December 16, 1892, in Wood Lake Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to Frank A. and Wilhemina (Gustafson) Johnson. They moved to the Hazel Run, Minnesota area in 1893. On May 3, 1928, he was united in marriage to Esther Petrin Krogstad at the Hazel Run Lutheran Church. They farmed in the Hazel Run community until his retirement in 1962, at which time they moved to Granite Falls, Minnesota. Mr. Johnson passed away Saturday morning, January 19, 1980, at the Granite Falls Hospital at the age of 87 years. Survivors include his wife, Esther; two sons: Willis of Hazel Run, and Floyd of Fridley, Minnesota; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Arthur, of Clarkfield, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Mandus; one sister, Effie Bertrum; and an infant son, Dennis. IN MEMORY OF WILLIE H.
