William Anton Macht was born November 27, 1900, at Springfield, Minnesota, to parents Joseph and Frances (Fisher) Macht. As a little boy, he moved with his parents, sister and brothers to a farm in Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, where he spent most of his life, also receiving his education in a little country school nearby. He was instructed and confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church of Omro Township, making him a member until his death. After retiring, Bill lived at the Dawson, Minnesota Nursing Home for a number of years, then moved to Haukes Nursing Home near Madison, Minnesota, and finally the last six months made his home in the Madison Lutheran Home. Bill passed away at 10 p.m., June 19, 1980, at the Madison Hospital, Madison, Minnesota, at the age of 79 years, seven months and eight days. Bill is survived by brother John of rural Canby, Minnesota; sister Mrs. Louie Nohrenberg of Sebeka, Minnesota; six nieces; one nephew; and several relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers namely Joe of Barrett, Minnesota, and Henry of the Boyd, Minnesota Community. IN MEMORY OF WILLIAM A.
