William (Bill) Gustav Bolter was born on April 19, 1907, to parents Gustav and Amelia (Pippke) Bolter. Bill was baptized by Pastor E. G. Fritz on the day of his birth at his home in rural Boyd, Minnesota. He was confirmed by Pastor Bernhardt Luttman in March of 1923 at Zion Lutheran Church, Tyro Township, Boyd, Minnesota. He lived on the family farm for his entire life. William Bolter, 86 of Appleton, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, January 29, 1994, at Appleton Nursing Home in Appleton, Minnesota. Bill is survived by, niece, Mrs. Kenneth (Bernadine) Lafrentz of Echo, Minnesota, nephew Burton Bolter of Melrose, Minnesota, and sister-in-law Ella Bolter of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. Bill is preceded in death by his parents Gustav in 1948, and Amelia in 1927, and brother Berhard Bolter in 1970.
