William Gunlogson, 92, of Brookside Manor in Montevideo, Minnesota, died Wednesday, September 3, 1986, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6, 1986, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Minneota, Minnesota, with Pastor Robert Lehner officiating. Organist was Mrs. Wendy Sarazyn with solo music by Mrs. Mary Buysse. Casket Bearers were William's nephews, John Christensen, Stanley Christensen, Eric, John E., Mike and Peter Gunlogson. Final Resting Place is the Westerheim Icelandic Luthern Cemetery of Westerheim Township, Lyon County, Minnesota. He was born March 6, 1894, in Swede Prairie Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to Johann and Gea (Hofteig) Gunlogson. He lived there until his retirement from farming. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran Faith at Westerheim Icelandic Lutheran Church. He is survived by brother John of rural Clarkfield, Minnesota; sister Alice of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews.
