Wilhelm Albert Pipke was born on April 22, 1884, in Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the son of Wilhelm F. and Othila (Nohrenberg) Pipke. He was born and raised in Omro Township and farmed there most of his life. He was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church of Omro Township and was married there to Ida Reidiger on July 10, 1913. Mr. and Mrs. Pipke retired from their farm several years ago and purchased a home in Montevideo. Mr. Pipke passed away very suddenly on Saturday, June 20, 1964, at his home as a result of a heart attack. Preceding him in death were several brothers and sisters as well as his parents. Surviving are his wife, Ida; daughter, Mrs. Luthard Schmidtke of Montevideo, Mrs. Herbert Koepp of Boyd and two boys that the Pipkes had raised, Norbert Kerlin of Clarkfield and Allen Forester of Porter, Minnesota, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
