Wilfred Martin Edward Leppke was born on August 9, 1921 in Maxwell Township, Minnesota to Fred H. and Alma G. (Bohn) Leppke. He was baptized on August 21, 1921 at St. John's and confirmed on May 19,1 935 at the same church. His confirmation passage was I Corinthians 6-20. Bill lived his entire life in the Boyd (Omro Township) area. He loved hunting and gardening. He loved flowers very much. Bill retired from farming in 1984 and has remained on his farm. Bill passed away on Sunday morning, December 12, 1993 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Dawson, Minnesota, at the age of 72. He is survived by his brothers: Irvin and Curtis (Gladys)Leppke of Boyd and Kermit of Whapeton, North Dakota. He is also survived by; an aunt, Louise Nevins of Minneota and nephew Randall Leppke of Boyd and several cousins. Wilfred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Alma Leppke and an infant brother. Funeral service: Wednesday, December 15, 1993, St. John's Lutheran Church, Omro Township Officiant: Pastor Joseph Schlewin Organist: Karen Mamer Soloist: Mark Fenske Casket bearers: Arnold Leppke, Edmund Leppke, Harry Leppke, Randall Leppke, Victor Leppke and Merle Weckwerth.
