IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wayne L.
Rogge
October 7, 1922 – October 10, 2010
Wayne L. Rogge (October 7, 1922 ~ October 10, 2010) Wayne L. Rogge was born at Boyd, Minnesota, to parents Emil and Minnie (Schlee) Rogge on October 7, 1922. He married Marion Schubert from Brewster, Minnesota, in 1947 at St. Albert The Great Catholic Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Wayne and Marion farmed in the Boyd area for 51 years. In 1998 they sold the home site, rented out the land and retired in Montevideo, Minnesota. Wayne served on the Boyd Bank Board and on the Zion Lutheran Church Council. He was also a board member of the Boyd and Clarkfield Elevators. In their younger years, Wayne and Marion enjoyed dancing, snowmobiling and spending time at their lake place on Lake Minnewaska. They both liked going to various casinos; but Wayne's special joy was hunting and fishing with his three sons, Leland, Bob and Greg. He was a very sociable person who always had a smile on his face. Wayne passed away Sunday morning, October 10, 2010, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital at the age of 88 years and 3 days. He is survived by his wife, Marion of Montevideo; and four children: Pat Rogge of Devils Tower, Wyoming, Leland Rogge of Boyd, Minnesota, Bob Rogge of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Greg (and Pam) Rogge of Glenwood, Minnesota; four grandchildren: Ryan (and Lori) Rogge, Mindy (and Pat) Nelson, Brandon (and Suzie) Rogge and Jaylin Anderson; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Lucille Elmquist and Doris Fjerkenstad; and brother Leonard Eggen. In Loving Memory of Wayne L.
