Walter W. Piipke was born June 5, 1906, in Omro Township, the son of Henry and Lena (Galow) Piipke. He was baptized by Rev. E. G. Fritz, July 21, 1906, at St. John's Lutheran Church, confirmed in 1920 by Pastor Luttman at Zion Lutheran Church. On November 12, 1935, he was united in marriage to Ruth Marquardt at St. John's Lutheran Church. He spent his entire life in Omro Township where he was engaged in farming. One daughter, Yvonne, was born to this union. She is now Mrs. William Wohlers of Lake City, Minnesota. Walter passed away at his farm home on April 12, 1971, at the age of 64 years, ten months and seven days. Along with his wife and daughter, he is survived by five grandchildren: Noel Ann, Brent, Craig, Todd and Ronda; his mother, Mrs. Lena Piipke of Clarkfield; two brothers: Elmer of New Ulm, Minnesota, and Ted of Willmar, Minnesota; two sisters: Agnes (Mrs. Rudy Warner) and Elda (Mrs. Edmund Kopitzke) of Boyd, Minnesota. His father preceded him in death as did a brother, Bennie, and sister, Leona (Mrs. Fred Phillips). IN MEMORY OF Walter W.
