Walfred G. Hasel was born August 27, 1901, in Ivanhoe, Minnesota, to Gustav and Mary (Carlson) Hasel. He farmed in the Ivanhoe area until he moved to Clarkfield, Minnesota, where he was employed by the City of Clarkfield. On June 8, 1952, Walfred married Lula Gullickson Willander. In 1954 they moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he worked until 1963 at which time they moved to Montevideo, Minnesota, where his wife Lula passed away in 1977. His later years of retirement were spent in Willmar, Minnesota, where he passed away on July 10, 1983, at the Willmar Health Care Center. Surviving Walfred are his stepchildren: Phyllis (Mrs. Arnold) Johnson of Burnsville, Minnesota; Lois (Mrs. Len) Rindfleisch of Minneapolis, Minnesota; LaVade (Mrs. James) Utton of Charlotte, North Carolina; Denton Willander of Burnsville, Minnesota; and Roxanne Richling of Los Angeles, Californina; along with two brothers, Leonard of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and George of Hendricks, Minnesota; two sisters, Mable Traxler of LeCenter, Minnesota and Florence Johnson of St. Paul, Minnesota. Walfred was prededed in death by his Father and Mother and three brothers. IN MEMORY OF WALFRED G.
