Waldemar Henry Anderson was born September 9, 1919, in Clarkfield, Minnesota, to Julia and Ingvald Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at Clarkfield Lutheran Church where he was a lifetime member and served as a deacon. He graduated from Clarkfield High School and attended Luther College. On March 23, 1940, he was united in marriage to Helen L. Kirkeby. To this marriage were born six children: Dean, Ingrid, Donna, Elizabeth, W. Neil and Rebecca. He was a member of the Hauge Male Chorus, the Sons of Norway and served on the Clarkfield School Board. He enjoyed farming, fishing, family and friends. He passed away on February 23, 1994, at the age of 74 from cancer. He is survived by his mother, Julia Anderson; children: Ingrid and her husband Douglas Trandahl of Circle Pines and their sons Joel and wife Polly, David, wife Christy and daughter Cassie; Donna of Clarkfield and her husband Richard Christopherson and their children Chad and Ryan; Elizabeth of Victoria and her children Dan, Rhonda and her husband Greg and Gary; W. Neil and his wife Linda Glee of Anchorage, Alaska, and their daughter Kerry; Rebecca and her husband Tommy Listul of Clarkfield and their children Heather and Taylor; brother Irving Anderson of Clarkfield; sister Joan Nelson of Willmar and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Ingvald; wife, Helen; son, Dean and sister, Alfhild Friberg.
