Vivian Harris was born on May 7, 1913, near Hamen, Iowa to parents Evelyn and Walter Harris. In 1920 the Harris family, Evelyn and Walter, and children, Marjorie, Vivian, Marion, and Myron moved to Minnesota. Vivian was confirmed at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd and attended Country School near Boyd and graduated from Boyd High School. In her youth, Vivian was given the nickname of "Biddy" (hen) by her uncle Joe as she always seemed to have younger children around her. Her sister, Marjorie, would call her "Biddion." Vivian enjoyed sewing, especially making quilts. "Biddy" kept house for the Nagels in Boyd for approximately 40 years. Vivian passed away on Saturday, August 14, 1993, at the St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 80 years. She was taken there after a short illness. She will be missed by her friends and family. Vivian was always willing to lend a helping hand. She is survived by her sisters, Marjorie Kriesel and Marion Harris of Boyd, and Virginia Fierstine of Marshall, Minnesota; and brother, Levi of Boyd. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Walter Harris; and one brother, Myron. Blessed be her memory.
