Vivian Margaret Berre was born October 2, 1919, in Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to parents Evend and Sara (Christopherson) Berre. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Lucas Lutheran Church. She attended country school in Normania Township. As a young girl, she lived with her aunt and uncle Gunhild and Alfred Brusven. In about 1950 she moved to Clarkfield and lived with her brother, Elmer Berre. She worked at the Clarkfield Care Center as a housekeeper until she retired. Vivian lived for several years at Valhalla Apartments in Clarkfield and was residing at the Clarkfield Care Center at the time of her death. She died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital, at the age of 87 years. Vivian is survived by her brothers: Henry (Gerry) Berre of San Francisco, California, and Kenneth (Georgene) Berre of Fridley, Minnesota; two nephews: Don and Bruce; four nieces: Sandy, Sue, Patti and Cheryl; and many cousins and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Sylvia, brother Elmer, and one nephew, Brian.
