Violet Margaret Reichert, 76, died Friday, May 29, 1987. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, 1987, at the Augustana Lutheran Church of Clarkfield, Minnesota, with Pastor Ralph B. Belin officiating. Organist was Tim Eischens with vocal music by Ross and Kayann Riecke. Casket Bearers were Merald Borg, William Lukawski, Carroll Ness, Ed Polman, Earl Steinman and Leo Toft. Final Resting Place is the Clarkfield City Cemetery, Clarkfield, Minnesota. She was born on June 26, 1910, in Yellow Bank Township near Odessa, Minnesota, to John and Mary (Oestrich) Von Eschen. She was baptized and confirmed at the Yellow Bank Evangelical Church. Violet attended schools in Odessa, Glencoe and graduated from high school in Arlington, Minnesota, then went on to attend Minneapolis Business College. She worked in various jobs including a canning factory and later, after marrying Glenn Reichert on June 14, 1940, in Gaylord, Minnesota, she worked with Glenn as bookeeper for their auto garage in Clarkfield. Along with being a homemaker, Violet was a member of the Augustana Lutheran Church. She loved to grow flowers. She is survived by her husband, Glenn of Clarkfield. Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers, Jacob, Gilbert and John.
