Victor L. Silver was born July 24, 1896, at Clarkfield, Minnesota, to parents Peter N. and Elida (Erickson) Silver. Dr. Silver attended school at Clarkfield and graduated in 1915 after which he attended College of Dentistry at the University of Minnesota where he graduated in 1918. He began his dentistry profession in Clarkfield in February of 1919 and served the community for nearly 37 years. In June, 1920, Dr. Silver and Alma Therese Galow were united in marriage. They observed their golden wedding in 1970 and also their 60th in 1980. Dr. Silver served on the Church Board Council, also church board treasurer, and had served on the City Council, was active in American Legion, Red Cross, the Clarkfield Band and District Legion Band. Dr. Silver passed away October 27, 1980, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, at the age of 84 years. Surviving are his wife, Alma; two sisters: Evelyn and Hazel; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers: George, Edwin and Alfred. IN MEMORY OF DR. VICTOR L.
