IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Victor John
Siegler
October 20, 1901 – December 17, 1961
Victor John Siegler, son of John and Minnie (Pasewalk) Siegler, was born October 20, 1901, at Nodine, Minnesota. He was baptized in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nodine October 27, 1901. After the customary period of instructions, he was confirmed on April 16, 1916, in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Johnson, Minnesota. He attended Dr. Martin Luther College, New Ulm, Minnesota, until his graduation from the high school department. He then attended Northwestern College in Watertown, Wisconsin, and Concordia College in St. Paul, Minnesota. He completed his preparation for the ministry in the Theological Seminary in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, graduating June 8, 1928. He was ordained into the holy ministry and installed as pastor of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Congregation of Nasawaupee, Wisconsin, on July 1, 1928. He served this congregation until October, 1942, when he accepted a call to serve the Lord at Brillion, Wisconsin, as pastor of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Congregation. For reasons of health, he left this field to accept the call extended to him by St. John's Congregation of Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, serving here since October, 1960. On November 15, 1933, he was united in holy wedlock with Vera Zimmermann, the marriage being solemnized in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church of North St. Paul, Minnesota, Pastor R.C. Ave-Lallemant, officiating. The Lord blessed this union with four children: Paul, Clarice and the twins, Janice and Judith. On Sunday afternoon, December 17, 1961, the Lord called him from his labors in the Church Militant into the Church Triumphant, at the age of 60 years. Besides his widow, Vera, he is survived by his four children: Paul, instructor at Northwestern College of Watertown, Wisconsin, Clarice (Mrs. Charles Frederick) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Janice (Mrs. Karl Seiltz) of Cleveland, Wisconsin, and Judith, teacher in Mount Olive Lutheran School at Delano, Minnesota; one grandchild and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his only sister, Cordelia, and his parents. IN MEMORY OF REV. VICTOR J.
