Vesta Marie Kaupang, 74, of Clarkfield, Minnesota, died Thursday, February 7, 1985, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital, Montevideo, Minnesota. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 1985, at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church with Pastor Gordon Trelstad officiating. Herb Jessen was the soloist and Mrs. Karen Donner the organist. Casket Bearers were Larry Agre, Bill Elliott, Dean Johnson, John Lattimore, DuWayne Moen, Wesley Moen, Richard Olson, Gene Osterberg and Bradley Runyon. She was born December 28, 1910, in Lehigh, lowa to Rollie and Alma (Rhyne) Runyon. On April 26, 1936, she married Konie Kaupang in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. Survivors include her husband Konie of Clarkfield; son Russell of Austin, Minnesota; daughter Mrs. LaVonne (Dennis) Sundlee of Montevideo; sisters Mrs. Charlotte (Clarence) Quammen and Mrs. Marjorie Moen both of Montevideo, Mrs. Ruth (Frank) Bebaut of Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Deloris (Telford) Berg of Clarkfield and Mrs. Ardeth (Gordon) Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; brother Rhodean Runyon of Minneapolis; Grandchildren, Tammie and Kimberly Kaupang of Minneapolis and Derek and Darci Sundlee of Montevideo; nieces and nephews; great neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Viola June and Mrs. Dorothy (Wilbur) Hinz.
