Valdemar Fagerlie, 59, died Sunday, April 14, 1985, at United Hospitals, St. Paul, Minnesota, from a heart attack. Services for were held Wednesday morning, April 17, 1985, at Roseville Memorial Chapel, St. Paul with the Reverend Philip Hansen officiating. The organist was Loni Lindholm. Casket Bearers were Peter Mikelson, Don Mead, Dan Giles, Mike Burwell, Vic Baniak and Byron Howard. Final Resting Place is in the Fagerlie family lot at the Clarkfield Lutheran Cemetery, Clarkfield, Minnesota, with Pastor Gordon Trelstad officiating. After the graveside service, lunch was served to relatives and friends at the Conrad Fagerlie home. He was born in Clarkfield to parents Ingebret and Annie Fagerlie on September 28, 1925, and was baptized and confirmed at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church and was graduated from the Clarkfield High School. While employed in the television industry in Bloomington, Indiana, he pursued electronic courses at Devries Technical Institute, Chicago. Later, he transferred to St. Paul and was employed by Univac in audio communications for twenty years. Following his early retirement, he worked as a consultant for the 3M Company. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Julian and sister Doris Halverson. He is survived by wife Patricia; daughter Thekla, a student at the Univeristy of Wisconsin at River Falls; brothers, Conrad of Clarkfield and Fritj of Saudi Arabia; sisters, Anna of Macomb, Illinois, Mrs. Dorothy Hopper of Loves Park, Illinois, and Mrs. Margaret Wold of St. Paul.
