Obituary

Ursula Minerva (Hartfiel) Just was born October 1, 1911, in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to parents Adolph and Emma (Eckhardt) Hartfiel. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Tyro Township. On December 18, 1935, she married Edward C. Hubbard and had two daughters: Adeline and Rosella. Edward died on July 1, 1940 in Cumberland, Wisconsin. Following his death, Ursula and the girls moved back to the Hartfiel farm near Clarkfield, Minnesota. Ursula married Paul C. Just on March 1, 1944, and resided on the Just farm near Boyd, Minnesota, until Paul's death in 1980. Ursula then moved to Montevideo, Minnesota, for 20 years and was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Martha Circle. Ursula moved to Boulder Estates in Marshall, Minnesota, in 2001 to be near her family and then resided in the Marshall Morningside Heights Nursing Home until the time of her death. Ursula was a wonderful mother, homemaker and loving grandmother to her nine grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She loved to sew, bake cookies, cook for her family, go to Bible Class and travel all over the U.S. She also enjoyed bowling with her late husband Paul and belonged to bowling leagues. Ursula passed away at the Morningside Nursing Home in Marshall, Minnesota, on October 1, 2007, on her 96th birthday. She is survived by her two daughters: Adeline (the late George) Appleseth of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Rosella M. (Curt) Sorum of Marshall, Minnesota. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and sister Adeline Sommerfeld of Dell Rapids, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Edward and Paul; son-in-law, George Appleseth; two brothers and seven sisters. Blessed be her memory.
