Obituary

Ulysses Wellington Pratt was born May 21, 1903, to parents Edwin H.A. and Christina (Walz) Pratt, and was baptized and confirmed in Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Baxter Township, Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota. He was united in marriage to Jeannette Haakenson and joined the Lutheran Church in Boyd, Minnesota, and was a faithful member until his death. Ulysses farmed four miles from Boyd all his life. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and by a granddaughter, Susan, who had died 24 hours before him. Survivors include his wife Jeannette; a son Larry of Stewartville, Minnesota; two grandchildren; four brothers: Albert, Oliver and Charley, all of Boyd, and Ralph of Clarkfield, Minnesota; two sisters: Mrs. Art Oman of Dawson, Minnesota, and Mrs. Clarence Hennen of Milaca, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
