Trudie Anderson was laid to rest at the Boyd Cemetery on Friday, July 14, 1972, following the services at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd. Trudie Anderson was born on a farm northeast of Boyd on October 31, 1908, to Theodore and Marie (Grefsrud) Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd. On April 17, 1927, she married Melvin Anderson and to this union were born two daughters, Fern and Ardis. Mr. Anderson died on September 27, 1957, but Trudie continued to live in Boyd until May, 1958, at which time she moved to Sauk Center, Minnesota. She was employed at the Minnesota Home School as a counselor and worked at that occupation until it became necessary for her to retire in April of 1970, due to ill health. In October of 1971, she moved to the Valhalla Apartments in Clarkfield and resided there until her death. Trudie passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 1972, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital where she had been confined since July 1st for a heart condition. She is survived by her daughters, Fern (Mrs. Richard L. Melby) of Minneapolis, and Ardis (Mrs. Harm J. Randt) of Maynard, Minnesota; grandchildren, Pat and Barb Melby of Minneapolis; sisters: Lilly (Mrs. Roy Erickson) of Montevideo, Minnesota, Maybelle (Mrs. Arnold Hjelm) of Englewood, Colorado, Joyce (Mrs. Leigh U. Quist) of Boulder, Colorado, Hazel (Mrs. John Neuman) of Sauk Center, Minnesota; and a brother, Roy Anderson of Dawson, Minnesota. Her husband, parents, and a brother, James, preceded her in death.
