Funeral services were held Monday, February 25, 1974, at 2:00 p.m. from Lynner Funeral Home Chapel in Clarkfield, Minnesota, for Tobias Enkenhus who passed away at his farm home Saturday. He was 92 years of age. Rev. John Bjorge of Granite Falls, Minnesota, officiated and Mrs. Orley Miller was organist and Erling Kompelien was soloist. Casket Bearers were John Anderson, Floyd Hovdesven, Orville and Thurman Kompelien, Orley Miller and Raymond Severson. Interment was at St. Lucas Lutheran Cemetery of Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. Tobias Enkenhus was born on December 21, 1881, to Jon and Helene (Miller) Enkenhus of Ostre Gausdal, Norway. He was baptized as an infant and was confirmed by Pastor Otto Wallert Konow at Ostre Gausdals Hoved Church. He came to the United States in 1902 and worked for the Byfuglien farm. In nine years he returned to visit his parents. Survivors include a nephew and niece, Fred and Lillie Anderson of Cottonwood; a sister, Hilde Hanestad in Norway; and other nieces and nephews in Norway and Canada.
