Obituary

Timothy Don Bruflat was born on April 17, 1953, in Granite Falls, Minnesota, the son of William and Donna (Beito) Bruflat. He was baptized at the hospital in the Twin Cities due to complications at birth. In 1960 his parents enrolled him at the Minnesota School for the Deaf and he graduated there in 1973. He met the love of his life there, Debra Theobald. (They were married on November 13, 1982). At the school, Tim was involved with many extracurricular activities such as sports, especially football. Tim was immensely well liked by his peers and was always known for his cheerful demeanor. He had a ready-made laugh that was felt by most everyone. Upon his graduation from the School for the Deaf, he attended the St. Paul Technical Vocational Institution (St. Paul College) and after a short stint as a student, he went to work for his uncle Ronnie Beito as a welder. Shortly thereafter, he went back home to Clarkfield to work with his family business, the Bruflat Plumbing and Heating. He was a skilled plumber of all trades. Tim loved to fish for walleye and hunt, often out hunting with his sons, Troy and Chad, friends and relatives. Tim would spend his spare time at the family cabin on Lake Ida, with his family and friends. Like most of us, Tim loved the Minnesota Vikings--hoping that they will finally win the Super Bowl. Tim also loved his garden; he would spend his summers taking care of his 28 tomato plants. Tim passed away on Wednesday, April 24th, 2013, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, at the age of 60. He was preceded in death by his parents, William (Bill) and Donna (Beito) Bruflat and his sister, Jill. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debra; three children: Troy (fiancé Jody Johnson) Bruflat, Heidi Bruflat, Chad (Emily Buer) Bruflat; two brothers: Rod (Barb) Bruflat, Joe (Lisa) Bruflat; brother-in- law, Steve (Shelly) Theobald; sister-in-law, Peggy (Randy) Mages; aunts: Burdonna Winson, Lou Ann (Wayne) Kling; uncles: Paul, Gary, Ronnie (Deanne), David (Loralie Andresen) Beito, Sherman (Joyce) Winson; and many nieces and nephews. Tim's family wishes to thank relatives and friends for their gifts of love, prayers and many acts of kindness. (No thank you cards will be sent.) Memorials are preferred to the Clarkfield Fire Department, EMT and Clarkfield Swimming Pool Tim was a donor, and with the help of Lifesource, helped save many lives. ~Please become a donor!
