Thomas J. Riley, age 92 years, passed away at the Clarkfield Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota, on Saturday, August 30, 1975. He had been residing at the Clarkfield Care Center. Mr. Riley was born March 6, 1883, at Roseville, Kansas. He was married at Canton, South Dakota, in 1905 to Mattie May Lewis. Mr. Riley farmed in Minnesota and South Dakota for many years prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1944, and three of his 13 children. They were sons Lee and Raymond, and daughter Mary (Mrs. Frank Applehoff). He is survived by four sons and six daughters: Winnie Yocum of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Gladys Astac and Iva Miller, both of Seattle, Washington, Darlene Nelson of Perham, Minnesota, Hattie Cox of Beardsly, Minnesota, Rosie Brusven of Salem, Oregon, Homer of Davenport, Iowa, Ralph of Worthington, Minnesota, Wesly of Salem, Oregon, and Robert of Montevideo, Minnesota. Other survivors include one sister, Agness Linsenmeyer, and one brother, Otto, both of Beatrice, Nebraska. Mr. Riley had 65 grandchildren, 85 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. One sister, Millie, and three brothers, John, Ed and Jess preceded him in death. IN MEMORY OF THOMAS J.
