Theresa O. Krueger was born March 5, 1917, in Tyro Township to Edward J. and Cecelia (Olson) Hanson. She graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1935 and from the University of Minnesota with a degree in nursing. She married Fred Krueger in 1947. Theresa worked as a registered nurse at the University of Minnesota Hospitals, Miller Hospital (now United) in St. Paul, the hospital in Stillwater and Office of Physicians Carlson and McCarten in Stillwater. She also worked at Holy Family Hospital in Richmond, Wisconsin. Theresa's nursing career included surgery, cardiac intensive care, pediatrics, special burn unit plus conducting workshops and classes and orientating new RNs to the hospital setting. She was very active with the Girl Scout Council of California as a leader and camp nurse. She died February 9, 2007, at the Woodbury Care Center, at the age of 89 years. Theresa is survived by daughter, Gretchen of Woodbury and three grandchildren: Catharine of Maplewood, Christa of St. Paul and William (B.J.) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Dora Hanson and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, her parents, sister, Marjorie Wilson and brother, Edward Hanson.
