Theoline Antoinette Anderson was born June 30, 1887, in Vallers Township, Lyon County, Minnesota, the daughter of Johannes and Anna (Granai Nielsen) Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed in the St. Lucas Lutheran Church by Rev. Thorstensen and Rev. Romstad, respectively. On February 2, 1915, she was united in marriage to Otto Kompelien of Minneota, Minnesota, with Rev. Romstad officiating. They resided on their farm in Westerheim Township, Lyon County, Minnesota, until June 8, 1962, when she entered the Clarkfield Nursing Home because of ill health. They observed their golden wedding anniversary on February 2, 1965, with a few friends and relatives at the nursing home. The couple was blessed with one daughter, Arline (Mrs. Arvid Miller). Mrs. Kompelien passed away at the nursing home on Thursday, April 28, 1966, at the age of 78 years. She is survived by her husband, Otto; her daughter and son-in-law; three grandchildren: Darline (Mrs. Donald Molde) of Minneapolis, Lee and Scott of Cottonwood; two great grandchildren; two brothers: Anton of Cottonwood and Tolvin of Perham, Minnesota; one sister, Mrs. Gunhild Skaaren of Kodiak, Alaska. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers and one sister: Andrew, John, Gunvold, Magnus, Carl and Anita (Mrs. Nils Lien). IN MEMORY OF MRS.
