Theodore Emil August Pieschke was born on January 8, 1901, at Sibley County, the son of Otto and Johanna (Winter) Pieschke. Ted was baptized February 17, 1901, and confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Auburn, Minnesota, by Rev. Adolph Hoyer on March 28, 1915. On June 27, 1937, Ted was united in marriage to Helen Margaret Zietlow at Zion Lutheran Church of Tyro Township. He passed away June 11, 1978, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota, at the age of 77 years. Survivors are his wife, Helen; two daughters: Lola (Mrs. William West) of Clarkfield and Lorraine (Mrs. Lonnie Schwartz) of Dawson, Minnesota. Preceding him in death were his parents, Otto and Johanna; three brothers: Ewaldt, Louis and Otto; and one sister, Alvina Mielke.
