IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Thelma Tollefson Ree, 67, of Hanley Falls, Minnesota, died Monday, August 19, 1985, at the Granite Falls Hospital, Granite Falls, Minnesota, from a heart attack. Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 22, 1985, at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church of Hanley Falls, with Pastor H. Norman Schey officiating. Vocal solos were by Mrs. Mavis Ellingson with organist Collen Hewitt. She was born June 3, 1918, in Minneota, the daughter of Severin and Linnie (Anderson) Heggen. She married Truman O. Tollefson on November 18, 1939. Except for several years in Granite Falls and California, they lived in the Minneota-Taunton area until his death in 1971. She later married Ervin Ree and moved to Hanley Falls. She was widowed in 1979 and remained in Hanley Falls until her death. She is survived by children Truman of Runge, Texas, Dennis of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Wayne of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Diane (Mrs. Gary) Lietzau of Prior Lake, Minnesota; 14 grandchildren; mother Mrs. Linnie Kvanbek of Minneota; sisters Dorean (Mrs. Bob) Brouilette of Minneapolis and Doris (Mrs. Robert) Miller of Albert Lea, Minnesota; and brother Julian Kvanbek of Delano, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by father Severin Heggen; step-father Jacob Kvanbek; husband Truman Tollefson; Brother Virgil Heggen; and second husband Ervin Ree. THE WATCHER She always leaned to watch for us, Anxious if we were late, In winter by the window In summer by the gate; And tho we mocked her tenderly, Who had such foolish care, The long way home would seem more safe Because she waited there. Her thoughts were all so full of us, She never could forget! And so I think that where she is She must be watching yet, Waiting till we come home to her, Anxious if we are late Watching from Heaven's window, Leaning from Heaven's gate.
