Thelma Christine Foss was born on January 27, 1919 at Hazel Run, Minnesota to parents John and Thora (Falkum) Foss. She grew up in the Hazel Run area and attended Hazel Run Public School. Thelma worked as a riveter for defense plants in Pasadena, California. John and Thelma were married in Pasadena on August 9, 1943. Thelma passed away on Wednesday night, September 27, 1995 at her home in Granite Falls at the age of 76 years and 8 months. She is survived by her husband John of Granite Falls, and children: Jerome (Beverly) Kvistad of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; Charlotte (John) Carter of Grand Cayman Island; and Dawn Kvistad of Minnetonka, Minnesota. She is also survived by two grandchildren: Burley (Amy) Kvistad and Teresa Kvistad of Minneapolis; two great grandchildren: Kayla and Trejan Kvistad; two sisters: Alvilda Wester of Spokane, Washington, and Mabel (Clyde) Faller of Spokane, Washington; and four brothers: Hjalmer Foss of Spokane, Washington, Norman (Gladys) Foss of Granite Falls, Minnesota, Elmer Foss of Fairbanks, Alaska, and George (Ruth) Foss of Spokane, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and two brothers. Blessed be her memory.
