IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thea J.
Lundberg
June 24, 1886 – November 16, 1983
Thea J. Lundberg was born on the family farm in Normania Township in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, on June 24, 1886. Her parents were Hans T. and Christiana (Johnson) Lundberg. She was baptized and confirmed a Lutheran. The family moved into Clarkfield, Minnesota, where she grew to woman hood and obtained her first Job which later became her vocation, that of proofreader. She also worked a short time at O.T. Anderson's Mercantile. Thea and sister Hilda went to live in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she became proofreader first for the Augsburg Publishing House and later for Miller Publishing. She was a member of Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. In her later years, she became an invalid and had to resort to a wheelchair. At the illness and death of her sister, Hilda, she came to live at the Clarkfield Care Center, in her old hometown. Gradually she became weaker and weaker, finally passing away on the evening of November 16, 1983, at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters: Carl of Clarkfield, Minnie (Mrs. Alfred) Olson of Clarkfield, Caroline (Mrs. Jacob) Rollefson of Swift Current, Canada, and Hilda (Mrs. Eugene) Pepper of Minneapolis. She leaves three nieces and three nephews to mourn her passing: Orand Olson and Hildred Afdem of Granite Falls, Minnesota, Gladys Kolbensvik of Portland, Oregon, Orville Rollefson of Los Altos, California, Cleo (Mrs. Joseph) Oravec of East Lansing, Michigan and Jack Rollefson of Chahalis, Washington. She will be interred in the Lundberg family plot beside her sister Hilda in Clarkfield Lutheran Cemetery, Clarkfield, Minnesota. IN MEMORY OF THEA J.
