Telda Cosens was born in Hanley Falls, Minnesota, on March 11, 1886, to Knute and Alie Holum. She was baptized and confirmed at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls, by Rev. S.H. Njaa. On October 27, 1913, she married William Earl Cosens and moved to Carroll, Iowa, where they spent their married life. To this union one son, John, was born. During her later life she returned to Hanley Falls, living in town until moving to the Granite Falls Manor and then to Clarkfield. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Velma Cosens of Carroll, Iowa; two granddaughters, Beverly (Mrs. Gary Nepple) of Vail, Iowa, and Betty (Mrs. David D. Pelican) of Boone, Iowa, and a brother-in-law, Malon Vagle of Hanley Falls. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, and their son, John Cosens.
