Sverre H. Lukken was born February 27, 1888, in Ten Mile Lake Township, Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota, the son of Hans and Johanna (Graffer) Lukken. He was baptized and confirmed in Trintiy Lutheran Church, Boyd, Minnesota, where he was a lifetime member. He lived his entire life in Ten Mile Lake. On June 11, 1919, he was united in marriage to Dora Erickson. She preceded him in death in 1962. One daughter, Margaret, also preceded him in death. He passed away October 4, 1963, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital, Montevideo, Minnesota, at the age of 70 years. He is survived by one granddaughter, Mrs. Eva Delorme of Gardena, California; two sisters: Mary Johnson of Tacoma, Washington, and Clara Vesta of Boyd; three brothers: Oscar, Alben and Henry of the Boyd area; and a number of nieces and nephews.
