Sven P. Anderson, the son of Johannes and Anna (Nelson) Anderson, was born November 18, 1877, in Halland, Sweden, the youngest of 12 children. He was baptized into the Christian faith in the Lutheran Church in Sweden. He was confirmed in the old Fridhem Church by the Rev. B.F. Bengtson and was a charter member of Augustana Lutheran Church. He was presently a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Minneapolis. Mr. Anderson emigrated to America at the age of seven years with his mother and brothers and sisters. His father and two uncles came to America two years before them. They settled in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. After his father's early death he lived with his mother on the farm until 1909 when they moved to Minneapolis, where he resided until last November when he was brought to the Clarkfield Nursing Home. He passed away at the Clarkfield Community Hospital Wednesday evening, July 5, 1967, at the age of 89 years. Surviving him are 30 nieces and nephews, three cousins in Minneapolis and one in Arizona, John Anderson. IN MEMORY OF SVEN P.
