Susanna Nyland, 73, of Boyd, Minnesota, died Thursday, November 6, 1986, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson, Minnesota. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 9, 1986, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd with Pastor Jeff Swanson officiating. Organist and soloist was Vernon Stevens. Final Resting Place is the Bergen Lutheran Church Cemetery, Stony Run Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. Casket Bearers were Bradley, David, Mark and Brian Graue, Velmin Larson and Orville Borgendale. She was born March 14, 1913, in Stony Run Township to Edward and Bertha (Dahl) Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed at the Stony Run Church. She attended School District No. 22 in Stony Run Township. On October 18, 1958, she married Orville Nyland. She was a homemaker and enjoyed planting flowers and embroidery work. She is survived by grandchildren, Bradley, David, Mark and Brian Graue, Jonay Grave Mootz, Eric and Michael Helgeson; great grandchildren Jeremiah Grave, Anthony and Timothy Mootz; and sister Idella Enstad of Granite Falls, Minnesota.
