Stella Moen was born July 27, 1895, at Nome, North Dakota, the daughter of Ole and Karen (Hagen) Hoiland. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and has been a member of Clarkfield Lutheran Church all during the years of her residence in Clarkfield. She was united in marriage to Carl Lee in 1924. Mr. Lee passed away February 9, 1950. On April 9, 1952, she was united in marriage to Elaster Moen, who along with the following children survive: Ethel (Mrs. Jorgan F. Johnson) of Hopkins, Minnesota, Donald Lee of Minneapolis, Vernon Lee of Chula Vista, California, LeRoy Lee of Hayward, California, all of who were present at the final rites; six grandchildren: Karen McGovern, Scott Lee, Steven, Michael, Douglas and Kathy Lee; two geat grandchildren, Melissa and Kelley McGovern. She is als survived by four sisters: Hannah Johnson of Valley City, North Dakota, Mary Engstrom and Helma Anthony of Minneapolis, Palma Osterfeld of Los Angeles, California; and two brothers, Palmer Hoiland of Nome, North Dakota, and Henry Hoiland of Morristown, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Moen departed from this earthly life peacefully at the Montevideo Hospital on Wednesday, February 7, 1973, at the age of 77 years. Blessed be her memory. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
