Stella O. (Opager) Anderson (June 18, 1921 ~ December 29, 2012) Stella Oliana (Opager) Anderson was born on June 18, 1921, at 6:00 a.m. in Boyd, Minnesota, to Sina (Swenson) and Ole Laurits Gulbraudson Opager. She attended school in Boyd. She was united in marriage to Alford Paul Anderson on August 23, 1946, in Webster, South Dakota. She worked at the Minikahda Club, Black and White Cafe, custodian at Fagen government building, was active in Ladies Aid, Sunday School teacher, Tyro Toilers 4-H Club leader, Bunco member and was a homemaker. In 1971 Alford and Stella moved from the farm to their home in Clarkfield. In 1989 her husband of 43 years passed away. She lived independently at their home until 2006 at which time she entered Valhalla Apartments in Clarkfield, where she resided until her passing. Stella passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at the age of 91 years, 6 months and 11 days. She is survived by her three children: Algerone (Linda) Anderson of Buffalo, Minnesota, Sharyl (Ken) Ulrich and Mark (Cindy) Anderson of Clarkfield. She is also survived by grandchildren: Brandon (Nicole) Anderson, Howard Lake, Minnesota, Darcy (Jason) Byington, Minnetrista, Minnesota; Darion (Heidi) Ulrich, Howard Lake, Minnesota, Kristopher Ulrich, Apple Valley, Minnesota, Jessica (Brian) Hoffman, Burnsville, Minnesota, Cameron (Kassaundra Yow) Anderson, Clarkfield, Minnesota, Allison (Adam Blake) Anderson, Cottonwood, Minnesota, and Ty Anderson, Clarkfield, Minnesota; and great-grandchildren: Bennett, Lindsey and Kaleb Anderson, Sarah and Jacob Byington, Rylie and CeJay Ulrich, Jordan, Brody and Ryker Hoffman, Cheyenne, Asher and Braylen Anderson. Stella is also survived by sister, Mae Johnson; sisters-in-law: Artys Cole, Alice (Opager) West and Shirley Opager. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Orion, Leon, Dwaine, Leonard and sisters: Pearl and Lorraine.
