Robert C. Hollenbeck, son of Fred and Fannie (Marvin) Hollenbeck, was born July 8, 1892, in Lyon County, Minnesota, and passed away July 27, 1956, at the Swedish Hospital, Minneapolis, at the age of 64 years. He had been in failing health for several years. At the age of eight, the family moved to Russell, Minnesota, and resided there until 1936. Mr. Hollenbeck was a veteran of World War I, serving thirteen months overseas, returning to that community upon discharge from the Army. In 1923, he was married to Emily M. Zeuthen at Minneota, Minnesota. This union was blessed with four children, namely, Marguerite (Mrs. Robert M. Sanders) of Minneapolis, Robert, Jr. of Clarkfield, James (serving in the Army) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Audrey (Mrs. Irvin D. Kalmoe) of Minneapolis. Mr. Hollenbeck became a member of the Presbyterian Church at Russell, Minnesota, at an early age and united with the Bergen Lutheran Church in 1946. He was a resident of this community for seventeen years. He is survived by his wife, Emily; four children; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Matie (Mrs. E.E. Thompson) of Marshall, Minnesota, Jennie of Cottonwood, Minnesota; and one brother, Charles of Ulen, Minnesota. IN MEMORY OF ROBERT C. HOLLENBECK SR.
