Obituary

Funeral services were held on January 28, 1974, for Edwin Larson, Sr. at Trinity Lutheran Church at Boyd, Minnesota, Rev Duane Larson officiating. Miss Helen Krogstad provided the music and Mrs. Gene Flaten the solos. Serving as Casket Bearers were Ernest Jorgens, Edward Agre, Harold Larson, Jr., Alan Larson, Merril Knutson and Edwin Hawkinson. Interment was at the Trinity Church Cemetery. Edwin Larson was born to Erick and Anne (Nelson) Larson on a farm near Boyd on January 25, 1899. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith at Trinity Lutheran Church at Boyd where he also attended grade and high school. He was employed by the McGee Trucking Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for eight years. On May 29, 1926, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Aakre at Granite Falls, Minnesota. They lived on the family farm until his death at his home on Friday afternoon, January 25, 1974. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; and seven children: Edwin, Jr., of Boyd, Shirley of Boyd, Delores (Mrs. Floyd Nelson) of Appleton, Minnesota, Betty (Mrs. John Wanke) and Mrs. Arlene Wanke both of Milan, Minnesota, Roy Larson of Egin, Minnesota, and Roger Larson of Fridley, Minnesota; 22 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister Clara Agre of Montevideo, Minnesota; two brothers, Harold of Boyd and Alfred of Detroit, Michigan; many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters and one half brother. Arrangements by Lynner Funeral Home Since 1891 Clarkfield, Minnesota
