Obituary

Mrs. Susie Sabe was born in Halsnoy, Sundhordland, Norway on the eighth of July, 1883. Her parents were Nels and Anna Eide. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Fjelburg, Norway, by Rev. DeSeve. At the age of 22 years, she came to the United States and worked near Clarkfield, Minnesota. On December 2, 1908, she was united in marriage to Heine Sabe, by Rev. Taralson at Madison, Minnesota. To this union five children were born, namely, Anton and Anna (Mrs. Melvin Appelwick) of Clarkfield, Tillie (Mrs. Carl Enstad) of Granite Falls, Minnesota, Mrs. Hazel Friberg of Clarkfield and Harold of Montevideo, Minnesota. The first few years the Sabes lived at Clarkfield, then moved to a farm in Swede Prairie Township, later to a farm in Tyro Township. Mrs. Sabe joined the Israel Lutheran Church and ladies aid in 1915 where she still was a member. She was an officer of the aid for several years. On May 30, 1933, her husband passed away. In 1952, she moved to Clarkfield and lived with her son, Harold. On Saturday afternoon, April 15, 1967, she passed away having reached the age of 83 years. Beside her husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Susan Marie Enstad; a son- in-law, Herbert Friberg; her parents; three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her five children, twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
