Sigvart Grevstad was born June 24, 1890, in Norway, to parents Lars and Hannah (Tronstad) Grevstad. On July 27, 1941, Sigvart was united in marriage to Pearl Gunderson at the Rock Dell Lutheran Church parsonage in Belview. They farmed in Tyro Township of Yellow Medicine County for 29 years. Survivors include his wife, Pearl; daughters: Darlene (Mrs. Charles) Oellien of Canby, Minnesota, and Sonja (Mrs. Delano) Mahlum of Sacred Heart, Minnesota. He passed away January 24, 1970, at Rochester, Minnesota, at the age of 79 years.
