Sidney Inor Friberg was born December 8, 1911, to Swen and Amanda (Willander) Friberg of Clarkfield, Minnesota. Baptized and confirmed in the Augustana Lutheran Church of Clarkfield, Sidney attended the Clarkfield Schools and graduated with the class of 1931. In 1943 he moved to Seattle, Washington, where he remained until his death, September 22, 1979, at West Seattle General Hospital, at the age of 67 years. On September 5, 1944, Sidney married Rose Catherine Dvoracek of New Prague, Minnesota. They had one son, Thomas Swen, now of Seattle, Washington. Sidney worked for Indoor Climate Control at Seattle at the time of his retirement in 1975. He had been a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union for over 30 years. Survivors are his widow, Rose, and son Thomas; four brothers: Raymond of Eugene, Oregon, Chester (and Renetta) of Montevideo, Minnesota, Myron (and Muriel) and Harold of Clarkfield, Minnesota; three sisters: Fidelia (Mrs. Eugene Crumrine) of Edmunds, Washington, Marcella (Mrs. Milo Mikelson) of St. Peter, Minnesota, and Gwendolyn (Mrs. Fred Bollard) of Seattle, Washington; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Victor and Arthur (at age six years). IN MEMORY OF SIDNEY I.
